ANNUAL MEETING:  Thursday , January 12, at 7:45PM at Chuck's Office.  We will review 2011 events, competitions and the one club
event, the Pentathlon. We will also have a brief financial report.  Then we will preview 2012 plans for future competitions.  I will have
any team jackets/pants that have not yet been claimed plus singlets for paid up dues members.  Men's red medium shorts and large
sprint tights will be available for $16.  Club dues will be due at this time, still $25 per household. The office is
Kelly Welde & Co LLP 510-
A Abbott Drive, Broomall PA, 19008.  Enter from Sussex Blvd entrance. GPTC DUES / USATF renewals: Club dues are due now through
the date of the Annual Meeting.  Please send in as soon as possible to Chuck Shields, 1500 Ferndale Avenue, Abington, PA 19001.
Please make checks payable to the club, not me.   Or you can use the
Active.com on-line registration. Dues are still $25 per household.
There is no need to fill out a form for renewals unless there is a change in your contact info.  You can
print a form from the club
website.  New members need to fill out an application. Please renew with USATF as soon as possible.  The Off Road Series and Millrose
Games begin in February and anyone participating in these MUST be affiliated with GPTC for 2012.  Also,  you must be affiliated BEFORE
registering for Broad Street in February.

12-13-11: Come celebrate GPTC’s own Donna Palisca's qualification for the USA Olympic Marathon Trials.  Donna will be competing in
Houston on January 14 with America’s best distance runners.  On January 7, her family will be holding a bowling party fundraiser.  I
know many of you have not yet met Donna since she only joined right before the Philly Marathon, but she already has set several club
records in LDR and Track. Donna lives in Bryn Mawr with her two children.  Back in the day, Donna was a National and Pennsylvania
State HS Champion.
Details are on the flyer for the event here.  It would be great to get a good number of Greater Philly people to this
fun event.  Please try to buy  tickets or RSVP by January 1st so that they can get an accurate head count. If you can not attend, perhaps
you might want to sponsor a lane for $50 (or know someone that might).

Saturday - The Men's M40+ 4x400 lineup was the same as it was for Millrose Games several months earlier.  GPTC faced defending
Penn and Millrose champs, Southwest Sprinters, as well as east coast rivals Shore AC, Central Park, Mass Velocity and DC Capitol.
Scott Landis (56.66) fought his way through bumping and traffic and avoided a collision at the handoff to Ray Parker.  Ray (55.58)
moved GPTC from 5th to a medal position in 3rd.   Nick Damalas ( 55.31) ran a strong 3rd leg to close on 2nd place DC Capitol.  Dave
Brown (53.93) closed the gap and unleashed an impressive homestretch kick to pass DC and take 2nd in a time of 3:41.47.
